GSP Truth

November 11th, 2008

At one point, I was for the idea of that forum.

The problem is, you have a couple of companies advertising on there, so if you were to look down on the advertisers, any posts relating to them would get deleted. I posted something about globalfrag (the truth, no bullshit) and the post was deleted. I’m assuming it’s because I either spoke the truth (people say it was un-ethical), or because they complained/threatened to pull their advertising. Truth be told, what I said wasn’t to bash them, it was the truth. They committed fraud. If you lie to someone you owe money to, you are committing fraud. Why should we keep our mouth shut if someone is trying to rob us of money they clearly owe us?

Not only is that site biased, it’s full of kids without business licenses.

As of last night, my account is deleted. I no longer wish to involve myself in a site like that.

Just for the record Gary, your post was deleted because the entire topic was taken off it’s course. I don’t discriminate against any particular company if they advertise or not. Velocity also advertises with us and I have no problem with the Velocity crew and show no favoritism. I am not sure which post you are referring to, I remember you created a topic about Global Frag not paying their bills, and it was closed after a while, but never deleted. It might have been moved to the staff archives which threads we determine to have gotten out of control go in order for us to spend time cleaning it up (which does take time). If that is the problem here, I think your comments are silly…

If it were truly the case of us deleting posts made against advertisers. Why are there so many other posts about Global Frag on our forums. The case here is that you became hyper-sensitive about a deletion and resulted in you requesting your account removal (which you are 100% entitled to).

    Example: http://www.gsptruth.com/forum/game-server-reviews/575-globalfrag-stay-away.html

It seems there is no comfortable medium with us, we are either too laid-back with moderation or we take the joy out of posting and moderator TOO much. Either way, I did nothing wrong in deleting your post and wish you the best of luck.

    Regards,
    John

Sorry the first sentence should be:

“Just for the record Gary, your thread was not deleted only moved because the entire topic was taken off it’s course.”

When I originally wrote this response, I thought you were referring to the Vee Servers topic.

Okay, my entire response makes no sense because I was writing about the wrong topic -_-. Anyway, the moral of this story is that the topic wasn’t deleted, only moved for cleanup. Also, I have not talked to Alex, ever. I have never had communication with the guy, and even if he threatened to pull ads from the site, he is hurting himself, not me. Most of the comments just got a bit “flame-like” and it needed to be fixed and I just never got to cleaning up, which I do apologize for. However, your reaction to this and you claiming we are biased is quite wrong. But like I said, you are 100% entitled to your own opinion and wish you the best.
